<h1 class="main">Svoboda, Collins L.L.C. Announces the Recapitalization of Cortz, Inc. d/b/a In The Swim </h1>
<p class="main"><B>CHICAGO, June 1, 1999</B> - Svoboda, Collins today announced that it has sponsored a recapitalization of Cortz, Inc. d/b/a In The Swim ("ITS"). ITS is a West Chicago, IL based direct marketer of pool supplies and equipment to residential and commercial customers. Svoboda, Collins has partnered with James Coxworth, the President of ITS, and the rest of ITS' management team in completing this transaction.</p>
<p class="main">ITS was founded by Jim and Andrea Coxworth in 1982 and today is the nation's leading direct marketer of swimming pool supplies and equipment. ITS markets to both residential and commercial customers, primarily through mail-order catalogs. ITS has also implemented a direct sales national account program and in March 1998 introduced its on-line catalog (www.intheswim.com), which includes the full array of ITS' product offering. ITS' product line includes chemicals, automatic pool cleaners, parts and equipment, pool covers and liners and toys and accessories. Currently, ITS operates out of its main distribution center in West Chicago and two satellite distribution facilities in New Jersey and Georgia.</p>
<p class="main">Svoboda, Collins and management intend to leverage ITS' strong reputation and leadership position in the direct marketing segment of the pool supply and equipment marketplace. "ITS has an established track record of growth made possible by its commitment to customer service, high quality products and value pricing," said Michelle Collins of Svoboda, Collins. "We look forward to supporting Jim Coxworth and his team in cementing ITS' leadership position in the market." In addition, Svoboda, Collins will be able to help enhance current operations and facilitate the company's strategic expansion through the experience of its principals and advisors in direct marketing. "The combination of experience that the Svoboda, Collins team brings in both direct marketing and in advising middle market growth companies will assist ITS in meeting our growth objectives for the coming years," said Jim Coxworth, President of ITS. Michelle Collins advised a number of direct marketing companies while working as an investment banker at William Blair & Company, including CDW Computer Centers and Coldwater Creek, and Svoboda, Collins' advisory board includes Irwin Helford, Chairman and CEO of Viking Office Products, Michael Krasny, Founder, Chairman and CEO of CDW Computer Centers and Patrick Norton, former CEO and President of Barefoot.</p>
<p class="main">Svoboda, Collins is also pleased to be working with Fleet Capital Corporation and Prairie Capital in this transaction who provided senior and subordinated debt financing, respectively.</p>
<p class="main">Svoboda, Collins L.L.C. is a $150 million private equity fund established in 1998 to identify, invest in and build excellent service and distribution companies. The firm is focused on making equity investments in small to medium-sized growth companies with revenues and pre-financing valuations between $20 and $200 million. Within this range, investments are likely to include (1) early stage financings of innovative businesses with compelling business models; (2) financings of established companies with proven business models for growth or liquidity purposes; and (3) management buy-outs and recapitalizations of larger, more mature companies. SC will not require control in its investments, but will generally require an ownership position of at least 20%. SC will typically invest $2 to $10 million of equity in each transaction. For larger transactions requiring additional equity, SC intends to potentially draw on its limited partners, or to partner with other private equity groups.</p>
