<h1 class="main">Svoboda, Collins L.L.C. Announces Co-Investment with Lake Capital in the Acquisition of Nth Degree, Inc.</h1>
<p class="main"><B>CHICAGO, April 19, 2001</b> - Svoboda, Collins L.L.C. ("SC") announced today that it has participated in the acquisition of Nth Degree, Inc. Nth Degree, based in Stone Mountain, GA is one of the nation's leading face-to-face marketing companies. The company offers labor management, event management, trade show management, and marketing services worldwide to more than 3,000 domestic and multinational clients, and supports more than 14,000 proprietary events, trade shows, and event marketing programs annually. Nth Degree has twenty-three domestic offices, including all major convention cities, two offices in Germany, a presence in Brazil, and strategic partnerships in Mexico, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Asia.

<p class="main">SC participated in the transaction with an investor group led by Lake Capital and including Frontenac Company; PPMAmerica Capital Partners, L.L.C.; and Banc One Equity Capital. SC has committed up to $7.5 million and the group has committed up to $150 million in equity in the initiative to acquire Nth Degree and aggressively expand the company's strategic and international capabilities.

<p class="main">The face-to-face marketing industry includes trade shows, product launches, user conferences, seminars and marketing road tours. The importance of the industry is growing with marketing executives at all levels. Companies have been shifting an increasing percentage of their marketing budgets to face-to-face marketing opportunities as the industry has proven it offers a critical capability to companies that desire to take specific messages to targeted customer groups.
