<p class="main"><b>CHICAGO, April 9, 2004</b> – Svoboda, Collins L.L.C. is pleased to announce that it has led the acquisition of Coffee Bean International, Inc. in partnership with management, Prairie Capital and WSG Partners LLC.</p>
<p class="main">Coffee Bean International Inc., founded in 1972 is a leading specialty coffee roaster, providing gourmet branded and private label coffee and related beverages and support services to independent and chain specialty coffee retailers. In recent years, CBI’s focus has expanded from independent coffee houses to include the growing market for premium coffee in regional and national multi-unit convenience store chains, specialty retail, general merchandise stores, grocery store chains and food service providers. CBI works directly with its customers to develop and implement specialty coffee programs – including flavor/blend development, packaging, equipment and point of sale merchandising.</p>
