<h1 class="main">Svoboda, Collins L.L.C. Portfolio Company Announces Completed Acquisition</h1>
<p class="main"><b>Columbiana, OH July 8, 2003</b> - Four Wheel Drive Hardware announced today that it has acquired Lash International, Inc. dba Performance Products, a Van Nuys, CA-based catalog and Internet distributor of aftermarket automotive products.
<p class="main">The acquisition will allow Four Wheel Drive Hardware, the leading mail order cataloger and internet distributor of Jeep related parts and accessories, to expand its product offering to include, under the Performance Products umbrella, Porsche, Mercedes and the truck lines of Ford, Chevrolet, GMC and Toyota. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.</p>
<p class="main">"The acquisition of Performance Products will complement our leadership position in the Jeep parts and accessories aftermarket segment with leadership positions in Porsche, Mercedes and Toyota truck and competitive market presence in the Ford, Chevrolet and GMC truck aftermarket segments." With the addition of Performance we will be able to capitalize on growth opportunities that exist in the truck segment, which is one of the largest and fastest growing markets," said Barry Ryan, president and CEO of Four Wheel Drive Hardware. Performance Products' 60,000 square foot distribution facility in Van Nuys, CA includes a customer service center and showroom and will expand Four Wheel Drive's presence from the Midwest to the West Coast.</p>
<p class="main">"The acquisition of the company by Four Wheel Drive Hardware will allow both businesses to capitalize on each other's strengths that will result in improved performance and service to our customers," said Melvin Kay, chairman and owner of Performance Products. "This is a tremendous opportunity to establish the combined business as the leading mail order cataloger and internet distributor of aftermarket auto parts and accessories.</p>
<p class="main">Performance Products was founded in 1964. Four Wheel Drive Hardware is owned by Pfingsten Partners, L.L.C. and Svoboda, Collins L.L.C., private equity firms based in Deerfield, IL and Chicago, IL, respectively.</p>
