<h1 class="main">Svoboda, Collins L.L.C. Announces a Co-Investment with Pfingsten Partners in the Acquisition of Four Wheel Drive Hardware, Inc.</h1>
<p class="main"><B>CHICAGO, May 26, 2000</B> - Svoboda, Collins L.L.C. today announced that it has co-invested with Pfingsten Partners, L.L.C. in the acquisition of Four Wheel Drive Hardware, Inc. ("Four Wheel Drive"). Four Wheel Drive, based in Columbiana, Ohio, is a mail-order and Internet distributor of automotive aftermarket products for the mini-sport utility segment.

<p class="main">The company specializes in parts and accessories for Jeep CJ and Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The company sells replacement parts, soft tops and accessories, exteriors, interiors, off-road products, fiberglass bodies and books, manuals and other miscellaneous items. Four Wheel Drive is the market leader in the Jeep niche of the mini-sport utility parts and accessories product segment.

<p class="main">Through catalogs and its website, the company markets its products directly to consumers offering same day shipping on all in-stock products. Four Wheel Drive produces a 150-page color catalog semi-annually targeted at Jeep owners and other four wheel drive owners (e.g., Suzuki Sidekick and Samurai, Geo Tracker and Isuzu Amigo). The company's website (<a href="http://www.4wd.com">www.4wd.com</a>) provides product information and the ability to purchase products online. Four Wheel Drive's headquarters and distribution facility is 103,000 square feet and is located in Columbiana, Ohio (approximately 85 miles southeast of Cleveland).

The goal is to substantially increase Four Wheel Drive's revenue over the next three to five years through a combination of internal and external growth.
