<h1 class="main">Daniel A. Solomon Joins Svoboda, Collins L.L.C. as an Associate</h1>
<p class="main"><B>CHICAGO, July 24, 2000 </B> - Svoboda, Collins L.L.C. is pleased to announce that Daniel A. Solomon has joined our firm as an Associate. Dan earned his MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in June 2000. He will help source, evaluate and lead investments in companies that meet our investment profile.</p>
<p class="main">Prior to the University of Chicago, Dan was a member of Ernst & Young's Strategic Advisory Services group. In addition to being a founding member of Ernst & Young's strategy consulting practice, he was also responsible for building and managing their Business Analyst program for junior consultants. While with Ernst & Young, Dan advised companies on growth strategies related to new market entry and new product and service introductions. Representative industries in which Dan worked include the automotive parts aftermarket, information technology services and retail distribution. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Dan spent 2 1/2 years at CSC Index in Chicago. Dan received his BA with degrees in Mathematical Methods and Computer Science from Northwestern University in 1993.</p>
<p class="main">Svoboda, Collins is a $150 million private equity fund established in 1998 to identify, invest in and build excellent service and distribution companies.</p>
