CHICAGO, October 27, 1999 - Svoboda, Collins today announced that it has made an equity investment in Entertainment Marketing, Inc. ("EMI"). EMI is a Chicago-based specialty marketing services company. Svoboda, Collins has partnered with Mitchell C. Berk, the President and Founder of EMI, and the rest of EMI's management team in completing this transaction.

EMI is a leading, specialty marketing services company focused on building brand equity for its customers through affiliation with high-visibility entertainment and sports events, and performing artists. Since its founding in 1985, the Company has created, produced and/or implemented more event marketing programs than any other company in the industry including the Hanes Tina Turner, Ericsson Celine Dion, and Budweiser Rolling Stones marketing efforts. EMI's service offering includes implementation and brokering of music tour sponsorships, field marketing activities, and media promotions. The client base consists mainly of Fortune 100 consumer products and services companies. EMI staff consists of 146 full-time professionals, based in Chicago and throughout the major markets in North America.
