<P>1. Click on the link below and download the 8.5x11 inch, two-column format zip archive.
<P>

<P>2. Unpack it into a folder (if not already automatically done).
<P>3. Throw away the text file, aip-8d.clo, and replace it with
the file, aip-8d.clo, contained in the zip file you download from the link below.

<P>4. Follow the instructions supplied in the unpacked folder to format the
document.
<P>5. Make sure you use the 8x11double setting in \layoutstyle{8x11double}.
<P>I have tested my modified .clo file fairly well
and I believe it complies fully with the Shock authors instructions.
