The Fall 2004 Shock Compression Topical Group election is completed. The

election teller (Dr. Ricky Chau) reports the following results:

Gray III and Kimberly Budil

Congratulations to all participants in this years election. In particular to

Riaad Manaa, Michael C. Koenig, and Gilbert Collins for accepting the

nomination and offering their time.

<br>

There was an insufficient number of votes for the By-Laws issues to 

be decided. Votes from at least least 50% of the membership of the 

GSCCM must be cast to pass or reject By-Law changes.  A special 

election will be held in February to reconsider the By-Laws changes.
