The program was created to help recognize facilities and help them market their technicians' achievements to customers.
To be eligible for the program, a facility must have 75% of it's repair technicians ASE-ceretified. In addition, there must be a certified technician in each area of service offered by the facility. This does not include office or parts counter personnel.
Once the application is processed, eligible facilities received a marble dated wall plaque, consumer brochures and a press kit with sample news releases for publication to local media. A yearly renewal will insure that only the facilities that are still in good standing with technician certification will be allowed to continue on the program.

A History of ASE:
The National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence was founded in 1972 as a non-profit, independent organization dedicated to improving the quality of automotive service and repair through the voluntary testing and certification of automotive technicians. Technicians, engine machinists, and parts specialists have participated in ASE's program from all segments of the service and repair industry: car and truck dealerships, service stations, independent repair facilities, maintenance facilities, fleet repair facilities, volume retailers, franchised outlets, and more. More than 400,000 professionals are currently ASE certified.

<IMG SRC="sam-logo.gif" ALT="Return to our credentials page........"
