You'll need to download and send out an evaluation form that will be evaluated
in week 3. This is an important component of the course as when you go
through the promotion process one of the questions you most surely will be asked
are what are your strengths and weaknesses. This evaluation activity
will enhance the responses you will give to the promotional board. I'm
also including in the <b><i><a href="#Activity(s):">Activities</i></b> section</a> some preparation you'll need to do for
future activities. </p>

<p> Several activities will
require planning and resource acquisition. Start to plan for the following:</p>
<p>1. During Week 5 you will be performing a role play. For that
activity you will need a human being to play the person you're counseling, a
video camera and tape to use for capturing your performance during the role
play.<br>
2. You will need to get a copy of your organization's goals/objectives
and strategic plan of operations. Also get a copy of your mission
statement and vision if you have one. You will use these next week.
Obtain a copy of the job description for the position for which you are
competing.<br>
3. Obtain a copy of the Incident Command procedures for your department
as well as any policies for Rapid Intervention Teams (RIT) and accountability.
You'll also need several copies of your organization's Tactical Worksheet for
Incident Command.<br>
4. Load the Adobe Portable Document Reader program from the <a href="cd%20contents.htm" target="_blank"> CD
supplied</a>
with your course materials, on your hard drive. Test it on
