"In sickness and in health" takes on new meaning as we've watched and prayed as both of our parents suffered through this illness.
In January of this year, when Marti and Don visited Arizona, Dad seemed to be having some trouble remembering things. Mom had been telling us all that he's had this problem for years, but now it was becoming evident that there was something new that was contributing to his ailment.
This letter is to report that after much effort on the part of Mom, and following visits by both Randy and Gail, who gave their support to help Mom find ways to get the help she needed for Dad, Dad is doing much better. It is especially miraculous, considering the confused and frustrated state Dad was in only a few weeks ago, but a complete rework of his medication and a lot of personal attention and patience by Mom, has resulted in a major improvement in his condition.
We would like to thank all the friends (especially Iona Ledeboer, who assisted Mom throughout this time dispite her own personal loss of her husband Clarence) and all those who offered their support to each of us through kind words, thoughts, and prayers as we watched and waited for the doctors to figure out how to help Dad.
I will continue to update this page as Dad's health improves.

Last Update: 5/3/01
Web creator: Red Pen, Inc.
Copyright ©2001 - by the Theune Family -- ALL RIGHTS RESERVED
