<h1>49th Anniversary Petroushka Ball</h1>
<p>The Russian Children�s Welfare Society (RCWS) invites you to participate in the 49th Annual Petroushka Ball, which will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at the Plaza Hotel in New York.</p>
<p><img class="imgl" src="images/demo/22.jpg" width="250" />Since its inception in 1965, the Petroushka Ball has been one of New York’s most vibrant and elegant <nobr>Russian-American</nobr> events. One of its unique features is its two distinguished orchestras — The Lester Lanin Orchestra in the Grand Ballroom coupled with the Barynia Balalaika Orchestra in the Terrace Room. In the past decade many of the world�s greatest artists have appeared in the Petroushka Ball including Anna Netrebko, Dimitri Hvorostovsky, Olga Borodina from the Metropolitan Opera and principals from the American Ballet Theatre and New York City Ballet. We are humbled by the excellence of artists who have performed at the Ball solely to improve the lives of disadvantaged children.</p>
<p><img class="imgr" src="images/demo/petroushka_ball.jpg" width="170" />The success of the Petroushka Ball is contingent upon the renewed participation of local and international businesses, as well as RCWS� patrons. Additionally, sponsorship of the Petroushka Ball is a great way to entertain clients and employees, network with prominent <nobr>Russian-American</nobr> businesses and presents an effective opportunity for corporate visibility while enjoying an exciting evening.</p>
<p>All net proceeds from the 48th Petroushka Ball are directed towards RCWS� charitable programs. Among them are educational scholarships for orphans, medical treatment for children with severe facial deformities, assistance to orphanages, rehabilitation programs for children with special needs, a "Yelka" (New Year and Christmas tree) party in Moscow for over 1,000 disadvantaged children visiting from many areas of Russia; and other vital programs. You can support these programs and be a part of the Petroushka Ball in one or more of the following ways: purchasing tickets to the Ball; placing advertisements in Petroushka Ball program; donating prizes for the raffle; making a cash donation; supplying products for the gift bags.</p>
