<p><img src="images/nelishnie2.jpg" alt="nelishnie_deti" name="nelishnie_deti" width="199" height="168" border="0" align="left">Rehabilitation Center, &quot;Nelishnie deti&quot;, for <nobr>at-risk</nobr> children and their parents provides psychological and pedagogical assistance to&nbsp;families and children in&nbsp;crises. The center’s&nbsp;mission is&nbsp;to&nbsp;help parents to&nbsp;nurture, support, and not abandon their adopted/foster children or&nbsp;children with disabilities. Parents and their children can obtain help by&nbsp;participating in&nbsp;workshops or&nbsp;family trips that are organized through the center; their concerns are also addressed over the phone and online.</p>
<p>In&nbsp;2004, in&nbsp;response to&nbsp;the Beslan tragedy, the center launched its support facility in&nbsp;Beslan for families and children who experienced psychological trauma.</p>
<p>The center &nbsp;applied for an&nbsp;$8,000 grant to&nbsp;support its operational expenses for a&nbsp;period of&nbsp;9 months. This grant allowed the center to&nbsp;reach out to&nbsp;over 600 children at&nbsp;risk in&nbsp;Moscow and over 300 children in&nbsp;Beslan.</p>
