<h1 id="pagetitle"> KRUG Rehabilitation Center<br/>for disabled children and their families, Moscow</h1><br/>
<p><img src="images/krug_appeal_1.jpg" alt="KRUG theather" width="300" height="206" hspace="3" border="0" align="left">Established in 1989, the Center provides rehabilitation, educational and recreational programs to children with learning disabilities. The primary goal of the organization is to help these children comfortably integrate into society. With the help of Center’s <nobr>on-going</nobr> programs, some children with learning disabilities have been accepted to special and regular schools, while others have attended college or found gainful employment.</p>
<p>There are approximately 100 children, who currently participate in the Center’s programs: psychological and social rehabilitation for children with severe psychological disorders/traumas (individual and group classes); classes for children who can’t attend school due to physical and learning disabilities; Theater Club I, II, III; arts and crafts classes; parents group; summer camps, etc. The Center also provides <nobr>part-time</nobr> employment to children with learning disabilities, to help them obtain the workplace training necessary to find a job in the future. Today, some of the "Krug’s" curricula are practiced at other institutions, and are partially sponsored by the government.</p>
<p class="column">Center Krug personnel is a frequent participant in various educational seminars and <nobr>socio-rehabilitation</nobr> conferences for teachers. In the past, the Center received funds from the local government, St. Peter and Paul Church, and private contributions. The Society awarded a <strong>$1,000</strong> grant in 2000, <strong>$2,600</strong> in 2001, and <strong>$4,400</strong> in 2002, <strong>$10,000</strong> in 2003 and <strong>$12,350</strong> in 2006.</p>
