Because massage isn't a common part of our contemporary culture, perhaps you're curious about therapeutic massage. We'd like to take a moment to help familiarize you with Nice To Be Kneaded, in hopes you'll be more comfortable with the concept of massage once you know what to expect.</font></p> <p><strong><font face="Book Antiqua" color="#0000FF">Courtesy Counts</font></strong></p> <p><font face="Book Antiqua" color="#0000FF">We ask that you make an appointment with us at least 24 hours in advance. This way, we'll be ready to welcome you and make sure everything is in place for your massage. If you are unable to keep your appointment, we require a 24 hour cancellation or you will be billed for that time. We are happy to call you to confirm each appointment so that you won't forget. No-shows will be billed the full amount for unkept appointments.</font></p> <p><strong><font face="Book Antiqua" color="#0000FF">Running Late?</font></strong></p> <p><font face="Book Antiqua" color="#0000FF">A late arrival unfortunately means time off your massage. Please try to arrive up to one half-hour before your massage session to undress, relax and enjoy the sauna. Please allow for a five-minute transition time between appointments.</font></p> <p><strong><font face="Book Antiqua" color="#0000FF">Getting To Know You</font></strong></p> <p><font face="Book Antiqua" color="#0000FF">When you visit us for the first time, we request that you fill out a personal information sheet. This information is strictly for our files, and helps us serve you better.</font></p> <p><strong><font face="Book Antiqua" color="#0000FF">Silence is Golden</font></strong></p> <p><font face="Book Antiqua" color="#0000FF">As you enter Nice To Be Kneaded and visit with us, please refrain from loud talking or laughter inside the salon. A quiet, relaxing atmosphere benefits everyone.</font></p> <p><strong><font face="Book Antiqua" color="#0000FF">Your Comfort Means the Most</font></strong></p> <p><font face="Book Antiqua" color="#0000FF">Before your massage, we provide you with a soft robe and fluffy towel when you sign-in for your session. If you'd like additional robes or towels, there is a $1 service charge per item. Wash cloths are also provided, adjacent to the shower in your changing area.</font></p> <p><strong><font face="Book Antiqua" color="#0000FF">Keep It Locked</font></strong></p> <p><font face="Book Antiqua" color="#0000FF">Every client receives free use of a locker and we encourage you to store all personal belongings there. Nice To Be Kneaded is not responsible for personal property or items left over 30 days. We ask that you not wear jewelry during your massage; lockers are provided for the storage of clothing, jewelry and personal items while you enjoy the salon.</font></p> <p><strong><font face="Book Antiqua" color="#0000FF">During Your Massage</font></strong></p> <p><font face="Book Antiqua" color="#0000FF">Ideally, the way to receive a massage is to be completely unclothed. However, we understand some of our guests may feel uncomfortable with this and prefer to wear underwear or a swimsuit. </font></p> <p><font face="Book Antiqua" color="#0000FF">Therapeutic massage is administered by our professional, licensed therapists and is not sexual in any manner; sexually-oriented comments or innuendo are extremely inappropriate and are grounds for the immediate termination of your session.</font></p> <p><font face="Book Antiqua" color="#0000FF">As your massage begins, your therapist will ask if you are experiencing areas of discomfort (such as aching feet, sore shoulders, etc.). We encourage you to communicate freely with your therapist, to help achieve the best results. In addition, please feel free to let your massage therapist know if you require either lighter or deeper muscle massage. "Deep" has an individual meaning for each guest, and we would like to find a level of massage that is most beneficial to you.</font></p> <p><font face="Book Antiqua" color="#0000FF">During massage, the body releases tension and stress in many different ways. You may find yourself humming, dozing off to sleep, laughing softly or even crying as your body rids itself of the effects of stress. Such reactions are perfectly normal and expected; you need not feel odd or embarrassed at your reactions. Give into the emotions you feel and allow your body to relax and rejuvenate completely.</font></p> <p><strong><font face="Book Antiqua" color="#0000FF">Our Shower & Sauna</font></strong></p> <p><font face="Book Antiqua" color="#0000FF">We invite you to enjoy the shower and sauna in your changing area. Time in the sauna helps continue the cleansing process begun by your massage, and is especially beneficial when followed by a warm shower. In addition to soft washcloths, you'll find our shower area features soap, shampoo and creme rinse.</font></p> <p><strong><font face="Book Antiqua" color="#0000FF">No Pilfering, Please</font></strong></p> <p><font face="Book Antiqua" color="#0000FF">We are happy to pamper you with a wide variety of toiletries and beauty supplies for your use in the salon.
