<p style="padding-bottom: 0pt; padding-top: 0pt; " class="paragraph_style">All of the following specimens are Tourmaline<br />from Galiléia, Minas Gerais, Brazil. All of the Tourmaline crystals <br />are jet black. The top terminations are flat and the sides of the crystals are heavily striated and very lustrous. The extreme darkness of the crystals did not always allow for the best images, but each specimen is notable for this extreme black color.</p>

The top edges of both of the crystals are flat, but as seen in the right image, the upper most crystal has a unique, "bubbled" appearance. I did not see another termination like this is all of the others I saw in Tucson.<br /></p>

The edges of the crystals at the top appear to be damaged, but they are not. As one nears the top of the crystal, the top edges have a distinct worn look, caused by natural growth conditions. These "worn" areas provide an interesting contrast to the flat top and striated sides. The entire specimen measures 1 x 0.875 x 0.25".<br /></p>
