<p style="padding-top: 0pt; " class="paragraph_style">Early in the 09 Tucson show, I happened upon Powellite from the Jalgoan District, Maharastra, India. The Powellite crystals all are off-white/light grey color with a naturally rough texture to the sides of the crystals. Some of the crystals have smooth sides toward the top of the crystals. Those on matrix are attached to Stilbite, <br />which is a light peach color. Although there is not a striking color contrast between the Powellite and the Stilbite, the fluorescence of the Powellite is quite impressive. All of the Powellite crystals fluoresce a very bright, white-yellow. So bright in fact, that they fluoresce quite well in natural, room light. Each crystal fluoresces with the same intensity <br />and all of the crystals on matrix are in very good condition. The loose crystals have an obvious contact area on the bottom.<span class="style"><br /></span></p>

Accidentally I had both the SW and Halogen lights on at the same time and noticed the continued intensity of the fluorescence. All of the Powellites fluoresce very strongly under natural light.<span class="style"><br /></span></p>
