to take off and land from very short

Underwing (single point) refueling system design
demands compliance with
a variety of industry standards (such as
ATA 103) but one of the most important
is primary and secondary pressure control. Primary
pressure control is provided by a pressure control
valve installed in the pumping system (not a bypass
relief
valve) built into the pump. Secondary pressure
control
is provided by the HECV (Hose End Pressure Control
Valve) installed on the single point nozzle. Make sure

After every flight, Qantas pilots fill out a form called
a gripe
sheet, which conveys to the mechanics problems
encountered with the aircraft during the flight that
need repair or correction. The mechanics read and
correct the problem, and then respond in writing on
the lower half of the form what remedial action was
taken. Here are some actual logged maintenance
complaints and problems as submitted by Qantas
pilots and the solution recorded by maintenance
