<h2>Vice Premier</h2>
In the early days, over 2500 years ago, when Areopolis Centre <i>was</i> pretty much Arepolis, this was the Administration Dome. A new government complex was built a couple centuries later. As the planet grew, more and more functions were moved there. At first the less essential ministries were moved, as they could stand to be twenty minutes away. But ultimately some of the important ministries needed more room and moved to the new complex, and then the others found the twenty minute maglev ride too long and moved there too.
<p>Eventually there was nothing left but the Vice Premier’s office, and for over a thousand years no one’s had any need or desire to move that over. As a result the Vice Premier has a larger office building than the Premier, though most of it is used for storage.
<p>Finally the government sold off most of the extra buildings, and these became a hip arts neighborhood, with galleries, coffeeshops, and tiny little theaters of the kind that subvert the theatrical paradigm, throw paint at the audience, get naked, or all three.
<p>You consider calling on the Vice Premier, who would probably appreciate the company, but you can’t remember his name.
