I had thought about writing up Schleicher's Tale (about the sheep and
the horses) as well... and had started about a year ago, it seems,
judging by the date on the file. But I only got as far as a Verdurian
translation (which was a little clunky in parts as I hadn't any practice
back then) and looking up the vocabulary for Cadhinor, since I wanted to
translate the Tale first into Verdurian, then into Cadhinor and
Cuêzi, and finally into Proto-Eastern.

This week-end, prompted by Gareth's post, I had another go at it.
Here's what I came up with. Gareth, does it look anything like what you
have? Do you have any suggestions?

Words for which I couldn't come up with a good equivalent I marked
with brackets and italics [like this]. In some cases, I also
used a different word (for example, "big" instead of "heavy" or "lead"
for "drive (horses)" -- that sort of thing).

You beat me by less than a day... last night I was finishing my own
tale in Proto-Eastern, together with some notes on PE syntax. Hopefully I'll get it uploaded tonight.
