How is dechép "seventeen" pronounced? Like
dec-ép, like de-cép, or maybe with a glottal
stop dec-?ép? That is, does the presence of the
letter h change the pronunciation of dechép
compared to a hypothetical *decép?

Cheers,
Philip

Mark responds:

Verdurian h is purely orthographic. So dechép
is pronounced de-cép.

(In case it's unclear to anyone, this word is composed of dec + hep;
it doesn't have a ch sound. I really don't like digraphs...)
