Various Chinese information resources exist on the Internet, but
often are incomplete or narrowly-focused. The aim of the CMDict,
inspired by and derived from <A
HREF="http://www.mandarintools.com/cedict.html">CEDICT</A>
and <A
HREF="http://www.rdt.monash.edu.au/~jwb/japanese.html">JMDICT</A>, is
to create a freely available Chinese dictionary structured to allow a
wealth of information that can be of use to language learners,
computational linguists, language researchers, and more.
