This is the beta version of the "Add Pinyin to Chinese Text" Java
applet.  It may also take one or two minutes to initialize when you
first use it.  
<P>
  The first time you run the applet, you will need to do some
<A HREF="javasetup.html">set up</A>.
<P>
  After installation, you can select the encoding for a file
(GB, Big5, or Unicode) and then click on "Annotate File" to
select on file on your computer.  The applet will load the
file and add pinyin next to each character.

You should now be able to paste in GB or Big5 text (Unicode doesn't work quite yet).
