Her only memory of them was the town in New York where she was a little girl. Later. her daughter Elizabeth and her husband Emet discovered two sisters still living in NY. They identified Mary by an incident when she was very young, when a goose bit off part of her earlobe.<p>Research by Cynthia Stanley, <[email protected]>, citing Alice Mix Temple's book, "Five Generations of Jamiesons and Temples 1840-1950,) p. 5, her surname was Garrigan. She is likely the Mary Garigan that was enumerated in the 7th ward of Albany, NY in Aug 1850, in the R.C. Asylum, without her parents. Nothing more is known about the R.C. Asylum.
