To support that, Cary appears in the 1850 census as Cary Temple, living with two of her brothers, but also with a Burrell Temple, who may be a nephew, or her son, or a step-son. Also, Carroll County marriage records give the date in 1844, in marriage book A, p. 468. Marriage book A mainly covers the years 1843-1847, but has two anomalous entries, one in 1853, and another 1854, in some sources. These outliers are suspect.
