This does not seem to be the result of confusing two different people, first of all because the other information given in all these sources points to Calvin Temples whose father was Tom of Route 3, Blakely, GA, and there was only one such person.  Second, there is no known Calvin who fits any of the other parameters of military service and locations with whom he might be confused.
