Alternatively, it may be she is a daughter, and there is confusion over his name.  His wife in the 1880 census matches the wife of William Holden Temples.  Two doors away was Nancy and John Meredith.  Nancy was a Temples, and her relationship to Andrew is not clear.  He died.<sup></sup>  He did not give his parents' birthplaces in 1880.  I am pretty sure he is the same Andrew Temple(s) enumerated in Early Co., GA and husband of Bethany Kelly.  The problems with making this identification are that he gave a birth date in 1880 that was about 8 years off, and his wife does not fit in with his other two wives.  If this can be resolved, his children in 1880 fill in some gaps in the family of Andrew and Bethany.  He is most likely of the line from Andrew and Mary (Sheffield) Temple.<p>Another alternative, but with similar dating problems, is Andrew Jackson Temple(s), b 1836 GA, son of William C. and Elizabeth Temple(s).<p>The family relationships portrayed here reflect a version of the 1880 census, which was most confusing.  The marital status indicators were very odd, and it was unclear precisely who was married to whom, divorced or widowed.<p>The proximity of William P. Stamper, who married Samantha Temples, to William and James Temple in 1870 indicates Andrew is possibly related to, and possibly a son of Frederick and Rachel (King) Temple of Early Co., GA.
