Frederick died before August 1850 at the age of 80 in Early Co., GA.<a href="sources.htm#5244" class="lnk">5244</a>,<a href="sources.htm#97017" class="lnk">97017</a> Will dated 13 Jun 1851, and on 24 Sep 1851, James and John applied for letters of administration for the estate. He has reference number RLT # U3426.<a href="sources.htm#1434" class="lnk">1434</a> It is not at all clear that the Frederick enumerated in Early County, GA in 1850 was this one. Although grouped together in a single household, Frederick Temples was ae 60 - the age of this one's son - and his wife was Mary, ae 75. In the next household, there we found Frederick, Jr.'s wife Rachel given as the head of household. Normally, that would indicate her husband was dead. I think what happened, however, is that Rachel's husband was enumerated with her mother-in-law in the 1850 census, and that it was Mary, not Rachel, who was the widow. Besides, the Frederick enumerated in 1850 was 60 years old, and his apparent wife, Mary, was 15 years his senior - more like a mother and her first son.<p>His family line for the next two generations requires some serious scrutiny, because it appears lines are confused with each other, that children and grandchildren are mixed.<p>In 1840, among the heads of household who seemed to be his children, they were in order of enumeration: Michael Temples (ae 20-30) 5 doors from David (ae 20-30), next door to Frederick (ae 70-80), next door to James (ae 30-40), next door to Andrew (ae 20-30), next door to Absalom Scott (gave no age, and of no known relationship to these lines), next door to Holden (Holding) (ae 20-30), next door to Dedrick (ae 30-40). That leads me to believe that Frederick (this one) was the father of the others listed.
