She wrote about research which "found some pretty detailed divorce records of Wesley from his first wife Lavine/Lavina and I really question that there might have been another marriage. Actually - I am not sure that Wesley and Ida were ever married! I know she is listed as a wife in the census - but boy those divorce records sure don't indicate it! Actually one part states that Ida and Wesley were convicted of adultery and jailed!" The death records of PA indicate that was probably the case - they never married. At the time of her death in 1916, Lavina was still said to be married to Wesley, not divorced. So, there were not divorce papers - no such divorce took place. Wesley and Ida were not married.
