If to the latter, then he is Thomas Price (not middle initial D.) Temple. The Mary Temple enumerated with him in 1850 is Maria Doswell (Price) Temple. However, the death date known for Maria Doswell Price was 1837. It would also imply that Lucy Lindley Braxton would have to have died before 1850, making their marriage even earlier. It is just too hard to see how these two Thomases fit together to consider them the same person. It is intriguing that he was enumerated with Mary D. Temple, ae 59, b PA, who, based on standard census practice, is clearly the mother both of Thomas D. and James B. Temple. James and Thomas were enumerated together in 1850 and shared the profession of shoe making. The only problem is, of course, there is no one named Mary D., at the age of 59 or anything close to it, anywhere in the family. That indicates the family as laid out here has a problem, and it probably relates back to Edward and Margaret (Gibson) Temple in some way, or it indicates they were not the parents of all the children portrayed.<p>Therefore, he was possibly the son of Fred and Priscilla Temple of MD. In 1880, he claimed his parents were both from England.
