Also, in 1940, he was enumerated immediately following Chester's parents, and it may be that was the reason for his being claimed as a son. Both ways indicate he fits in the family here, but does not explain his absence in 1930. To make matters worse, his name appears in about Feb 1969 in Social Security papers as Chester Thomas Temples.
