IN death records give the date in 1905.<p>Some sources give his place of death as Blooming Grove, Navarro, TX, but that is not correct, in that he died in the National Military Home in IN in 1905.<p>Died of a bowel obstruction. His estate was probated in McLean County, IL. Name appears both with and without the final E. The spelling here is that of the 1860 census. Adding to the puzzle is the entry in his admission to the National Disabled Soldiers Home in 1902, which said he was both widowed and divorced. While he may have divorced Nellie and then remarried her - the source of his claim of being a widower is unclear.
