He suspended for 15 days due to an incident on 27 January 1937 in Pasco, Franklin, WA.<a href="sources.htm#116153" class="lnk">116153</a> On an extremely cold day, 16 Jan 1937, his engine, # 1623, had a tank hose and feed pipe freeze up. Mildton claimed in the investigation that he was too busy to deal with the pipe, and at a stop to see if he could heat them back up, decided to proceed rather than delay the train's schedule. The master mechanic, heading the investigation, did not accept the "too busy" excuse, and suspended Milton from his duties for 15 days. By the time of the incident, he had moved from the Pasco division to the Idaho division of the Northern Pacific. In April 1940 he was a steam railway locomotive engineer in Pasco, Franklin, WA.<a href="sources.htm#115485" class="lnk">115485</a> Milton burned by steam in an accident involving a blowoff cock of the engine on 22 September 1945 in Pasco, Franklin, WA.<a href="sources.htm#116153" class="lnk">116153</a> The blowoff cock on the engine was leaking. This was extended an additional 90 days, to explire on 24 May 1953. On 25 May 1953, he was granted another 90 days leave of absence through 24 Aug 1953. Once again, that was extended, through 16 Feb 1954, and again through 26 Apr 1954.
