Temple requires proof. In the 1940 census, there were no Temples enumerated in Seaton, IL. In Mercer Co., however, there were three male Temples: Raymond T., b 1894; Howard, b 1916; and Lyle Clair, b 1925. Of these, the most likely was Lyle Clair Temple.<br>Next most likely, only in the sense of timing, was Howard Temple of New Boston, IL. But, Howard married in Jun 1940 and had a daughter the next year.<br>Lyle Clain, however, did not get married to Charleen Baxter until late 1946.<br>This is the bsis for identification of Lyle Clair Temple having married Helen G. Meyers after the 1940 census, and they may have stayed married until as late as Dec 1946 before they divorced. The divorce is assumed and should be researchable. It would seem less likely that there was an annulment as Helen was pregnant pretty early for Karol to have been born in 1940.
