It may be that her initials were misread in the marriage papers. Her parents were both from TN in 1880.<p>The story gets potentially much more strange. Virginia apparently married her stepfather after the death of her mother.<p>If Lucy Virginia is not her birth name, she might be Evelyn Virginia Temple(s), daughter of John Grim and Matilda (Taylor) Temple(s), but for this to be the case, her mother's middle name would have to have been Matilda.
