Her daughter Frances appears with her husband in the 1880 census, with an age of 41. That means she was born in 1839, and at that time, Lucy Catherine could only have been at best 7 years old, given when her parents were married. Thus, the source seems incorrect in asserting that Lucy was the daughter of Liston E. and his second wife, Pauline Gaines. She would have to have been the daughter of Liston's first wife. Thus, if she had a daughter in 1839, she was probably born no later than 1823.
