It may be possible that she was the daughter of Jacob and Mary Temple of Butler Co., OH, and the identification of their daughter as having married Ferdinand Banker is in error.  But, the other Josephine was not known after 1870, and might have been the wife of either Banker or Shepard.  Too close to call.<p>Her parents were both from OH. It is less likely that she was the daughter of Charles F. and Susan Temple of Pierce, OH, in 1860.  The latter seems unlikely because she was still single and living in PA in 1870.  However, it may be that the Josephine temple who married Samuel Shepard abt 1877 could have been the daughter of Jacob and Mary, in which case the Josephine who married Ferdinand Banker would be someone else.<p>By 1900, she had had 3 children, 2 of whom survived.
