The Rise of the Temples gives the year as 1779, which might be a typo or a continued error based on the History of Littleton's date error. The History of Littleton, NH, gave his birth date as 4 Jul 1779 in Acton, MA, but that date agrees with cemetery records, except the cemetery records put the year as 1799. His cemetery marker dated 27 Mar 1858 says he was ae 58y9m. If this seems confusing, the sources differ on his birth date as 4 Jul and 3 Nov. The majority seem to favor the 4 Jul date.
