One of these died before the WW2 draft registration, but one, Sarah E. If we look at Cook Co., that adds Carls with birth years of 1894 and 1887, and wives of Ethel and Emily respectively.
So - one of these may be the right Mrs Carl Jacoby, but she was then probably not an aunt on his father's side, but on his mother's. I identify him as being of the line related to John Louis and Catherine Temple based on proximity with the family in 1880 and timing (and what I think is confusion) with their daughters Florence Ann and Anna V. It is either that, or he is a son of Jacob (Jr.) and Mary Temple. Since John Louis and Catherine had moved away prior to 1880, and because Mary was still in the area, living with her brother-in-law Theo and father-in-law Jacob, I think the best alignment for Albert is as the son of Jacob, Jr. Obviously, this needs to be proved.
In 1900, though, he was enumerated only a few doors removed from Perry and Eliza Temple, and their son Harry, indicating he might be their line. This means he is indeed of the line related to Jacob and Catherine (Gebhart) Temple, but could be the son of Harry and Margaretta (Capp) Temple, where Harry is the brother of John Louis Temple.. I have lost track of Harry and his wife just before the birth date of Albert, so it is also possible that he is their son.
In 1910, he was given with Germanic spelling.
He was enumerated very close by Harry M. Temple in 1930, so I believe he is a son or grandson of Jacob and Catherine (Gebhart) Temple.
In the birth records for his daughter Frances, he was given as John A, but at all other times seems to be Albert.
