At least this indicates he had brothers and sisters.<p>In 1860, however, we find Johnston and Rebecca Temple in Fermanagh Twp., with their son John ae 26, but living nearby was one Enry Stoner, which in itself doesn't mean anything, but it might be a clue.<p>Based on cemetery information, it may be that he was of the line from David (b 1819) and Hannah Temple.  His obituary did not give any family information other than he was the last survivor of his siblings. It is not clear what actions occurred at Spotsylvania Courthouse at this time.<p>The Temple/McNulty genealogy says he was buried in Dublin (Odd Fellows) Cemetery, Washington Twp., OH, and this claim agrees with his OH Military Graves Registration Card.  However, he also has a marker in Richmond National Cemetery, Richmond, VA, Sec. 7A, Grave 1847.  If the child enumerated as James in the 1850 census is indeed this person, then his birth date is wrong.  He was age 11 in 1850.
