In the last case, however, the Charlestown records have her married to James Temple of Winchester, NH.  The Vital Records of Brookline, MA, have Amos Temple and Francis R. Gould filing their intention on 4 Apr 1841.  Research by Margaret Behnke uncovered the marriage records in Leverett, Franklin, MA, give Amos Temple of Deerfield marrying Mary D. Torry of Leverett on 8 Apr 1841, in the Baptist Church.  The actual source of the confusion is still unclear. Only one James was found fitting in a 10 year span around his suspected birth date, having a relationship to PA, and not known otherwise to have married or lived past 1870.  That was James, son of Benjamin and Maria J. (Cunningham) Temple, b 1834 Washington, PA, who is a low probability, as he moved to OH in 1860 or so. In June 1870 James was a farm laborer in Early Co., GA.<sup><a href="sources.htm#103479" class="lnk">103479</a></sup>  Enumerated in the household of Andrew and Theresa Temple of Blakely, GA.  In June 1880 he was a farmer in Early Co., GA.<sup><a href="sources.htm#8625" class="lnk">8625</a></sup>  He died before 1900 at the age of 55.<sup></sup>  Enumerated as James Jr. in 1864.
