A history of Shrewsbury assigned her marriage as a second marriage to Isaac Temple, b 1706, husband of Elizabeth Holland and grandfather to this Isaac Temple. This latter source said she was the mother of one additional child to that Isaac. So there is something truly off about the different records and secondary sources about this woman. It is possible that she was really the third wife of Isaac's father, Ephraim, married on the date shown in 1785, and that the children shown are really those of Elizabeth Cheney. This would require a confusion of dates for Elizabeth Cheney, which is not very far-fetched. It only requires that the confusion be based on two Elizabeth Temples of similar birth dates and marriage dates to related Temple males.
