It seems that Hutch lived with Hannah Catherine and her husband John for a while on their farm. John E. Chambers relates that "John had to make a trip, and asked Hutch to take care of the chores and help his sister around the place. Hannah and John didn't like the way Hutch drank and used foul language. While John was gone, Hannah objected to Hutch's conduct in front of the children, and told him to leave. That night, the Chambers barn, which contained fine poplar and oak lumber for a new farm house, burned to the ground. Hannah and John never saw Hutch again." In 1910, she was enumerated next door to some Kemplins. In 1900, the census of Morgan Co., KY, enumerated an Ida Kemplin, daughter of Francis and Matilda, b Jun 1889. I think this is the same Ida identified as the wife of George Oakley.
