It gets even more complicated, since he and a wife named Bertha Early are named as the parents of Raymond Theodore Temple in the latter's marriage papers. In the 1910 census, George is enumerated with Raymond, but no wife is present, and she must have either died or divorced (the latter to be consistent with George's marital status claim in 1910). George's death certificate listed only two wives, giving no mention of Bertha, who, if he had married her, would have been his third wife.
