In 1810, Drury appears as age 10-16, and a female age 0-10 is with him. Either the enumerator was well off on his markings, or he was accurate. If he was accurate, then he skipped Drury (the father) in 1820. In 1830, Drury's age is back to 60-70, but he has a male age 20-30 living with him. My conjecture is that in 1820, the enumerator got the children only, for some reason. That would constrain a male child's age to 1810 as a birth year, right after the census. No other year fits the criteria, if we are to believe the enumerators accurately recorded their data in 1820 and 1830. It also indicates that Drury's wife probably died before the 1830 census, and possibly before the 1820. If the female age 0-10 in 1820 is a daughter of Drury, then we might postulate that Drury's wife died in childbirth between 1810 and 1820, and further that the daughter died young, before the 1830 census. It all fits, but we have no proof.<p>Given name appears as Drewery, a phonetic spelling.
