Without marriage information, it is not possible to tell which of the children shown are hers versus a first wife's, if they are not hers. To support the idea she was a second wife, there is a large break in children in the 1850 census, and a child not named Wilson enumerated with them.<br>The break is between James A., b 1841 (in the 1850 reporting) and born in IN, whereas all the rest of the children were from VA in the 1850 reporting. Then came Marilla, 8 years later, b OH. Enumerated with the family in 1850 was Almina or Alvina J. Blizzard, b 1842 in OH. So, it could be that Charlotte was first married to a Blizzard in OH and she was the mother of Almina. Something happened to her husband and she married William, who was probably a widower at or shortly after the birth if his last child, James, in IN, where his first wife may have died. He and Charlotte married and were the parents of Marilla, b 1849 in OH.
