Temple - was the one that had the least subsequent documentation. Starting with the 1900 census, Sarah is no longer around, and Catherine is the wife of William Fay, although no marriage documentation was found. The 1900 census for Catherine says she and William married in 1897. There are discrepancies in middle initials, but what was happening was more serious than transcription errors. Ohio marriage records on Ancestry, "Ohio, County Marriage Records, 1774-1993," is a large and pretty comprehensive database of OH marriages - and none point to William's marriage to anyone other than Sarah Temple.
