However, they had two step children living with them, named Hutchinson, which might account for her middle initial in 1930. Furthermore, as a reason i did not record the data, they seem to have claimed theirs as a first marriage for both in 1930, which would clearly not be the case if she had two sons by a prior marriage. All of the errors of her own making in terms of times and places lead to a further possibility for her, especially if she really was the Belle Smith in ME in 1920, because Lucretia (Lutie) Temple, wife of Alonzo L. Temple, is also buried in the same cemetery, and predates Belle by about a generation or so, Perhaps Belle is related to the line of which Alonzo was part?</p><p>Spouse: <a href="b1891.htm#P157605" class="lnk">Elmer L. I found no record of him at Camp Chase, but many of the records of Camp Chase are so faded as to be useless. He died on 28 January 1880 at the age of 39 in Mt. Meigs, Montgomery, AL.<sup><a href="sources.htm#26658" class="lnk">26658</a></sup> The date seems off - and perhaps should be in 1881, as he appeared alive and well in the 1880 census on 26 June.
