Temple, and was b 1842 in OH - he was the only Alexander T. Temple known to be in OH at any reasonable time - no dates of birth or ages appeared in his marriage papers with Mary Mathias. While their wedding is proved by their marriage certificate, it cannot be proved that the two Alexanders are the same person without further documentation. Two things argue for the marriage to be with Alexander B 1842 - the lack of any known Alexander T. Temple of any age in OH at the time, and Mary Mathias' age was old enough that she was married at least once before. The real problem seems to be that Alexander was not really known outside Clark Co., OH (or Springfield, for that matter), and the Temple-Mathias wedding was in Montgomery Co.<p>Although his dates are compatible with Alexander T. Temple, son of Jesse and Mary A. Temple of Springfield, OH, the location of his marriage in Champaign Co., OH, is unusual, as the son of Jesse and Mary seemed to have only been in Clark Co., OH. However, the two counties are adjacent, and no other Alexander T. Temple is known in OH at the time of this marriage. The marriage event is certain, but needs additional information to show that the groom really was the same person as the son of Jesse and Mary.
